Kojima Pearl

This natural color baroque pearl from Lake Kasumi Ga Ura, Japan is a very large example of the lake’s bounty. The pearl measures 12.1 × 15.5mm and weighs 3 grams. The surface is really smooth the luster is even and silky bright, and the colors are deep purple, and deep pink. There is a point at one end where the luster is not as bright, (this is probably where a setting would cover) and at the other end there is a slight difference (darker spot) that is simply a color difference (naturally occurring).
